Her work is featured in the following collections: Museu do Chiado, Serralves Foundation, Museu de Arte Contemporânea do Funchal, EDP Foundation, Coleção António Cachola and also the Coleção Banco Privado. She received the Prémio União Latina prize in 2001.From the principles of assemblage, intervened appropriation and abstract construction, the artist creates objects that appeal to the careful reading of their own processes, surprise and intrinsic nature. Isolated or conceived for dialogues in the space, they have the presence and the tactile appeal of sculpture, but also the resourcefulness of drawing and the intriguing challenge of their latent symbolic reference.
Sendas studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, USA; Royal College of Arts, London; Arco and Atelier Livre, Lisbon. He has attended residencies at the: Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin; Casa Velazquez, Madrid; Cite des Arts, Paris; Peggy Guggenheim, Venice and Atelier Real Lisboa. He has exhibited works in Yerba Buena for the Arts, USA; Kunsthalle Bonn, Germany; Akademie der Kunst, Berlin; Le Plateau, Paris; MEAC/ MUSAC/ Botin Foundation/ Foundation IC and Casa America in Spain; In Portuguese Museums and Institutions such as: Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Museum Berardo, Museu Bordalo Pinheiro e Museu da Cidade em Lisboa; Culturgest, Porto; CAVE, Coimbra; Museum de Tavira, Algarve.
Patrícia Garrido graduated in painting at the Escola Superior de Belas-Artes in Lisbon (ESBAL). She has participated in numerous group exhibitions which include: Mais Tempo, Menos História, Serralves Foundation, Porto (1996); O Império Contra-Ataca, Galeria ZDB, Lisbon (1998); Squatters, Galeria do CRUARB, Porto (2001). Solo exhibitions include: T1, Serralves Foundation, Porto (1998); Móveis ao Cubo, Desenhos ao Acaso, TREM Galeria Municipal de Arte, Faro (2009); Peças Mais ou Menos Recentes, EDP Foundation, Museu Nacional Soares dos Reis and Galeria Fernando Santos, Porto (2013).
Noé Sendas (born in Brussels, 1972, lives and works in Berlin) began presenting his work in the late nineties. He resorts to different means of expression: video, sculpture, collage, drawing and photography. Explicit and implicit references to artists and literary, cinematic, or musical creations are part of his raw materials.
Rooted in cinematic and literary references, his images depict ghostly, unnerving figures whose heads and limbs appear to be invisible, or which habe seemingly blended into furniture or walls. It is a fascinating body of work, that follows themes of abstracting and partly erasing the human body through photography explored by those ever-present titans, John Baldessari and Guy Bourdin, and the less well-known but equally brilliant American sculptor Robert Gober.

Artist Bio
Sendas' work deals simultaneously with the notions of recognition and the fabulation of reality. Meaning that, both artists, gazing their tangible surroundings seize a poetic underlining of objects, situations and images that are modified to transcend its original condition.
